I also meant to ask - is there any livejournal commmnity/user I can find that made different styles of that "rip" brush image you used in your tutorial, or did you make it?

Uhmm. I think 77words has some. I made the one I used in this tutorial. If anything you can ask around in some brush communities.. :)
