Barcelona
Hola!!
Well I made it back from Barcelona! It was a really fun place. Such a beautiful city. I ate lots of paella and tapas and had some good sangrias too. We went to the Museum of Catalonian History. In case you didn't know Barcelona is in Catalonia, which is like a soverign state within Spain. They have their own president and they speak their own language (Catalan), although most people also speak Spanish. Catalan is like a mixture between French and Spanish. We also saw works by Antoni Gaudi. He is a famous architect. His buildings are so amazing. He also designed this really amazing park, Parc Guell. He also designed La Sagrada Familia, which is this huge cathedral he started in 1880. It is still being built and is the most visited construction site in the world. I plan to go back in 50 years when it will be done. There was some good shopping too. There are a couple of Spanish brands that we have here in Holland, but they are much cheaper in Spain. I also went to the Picasso Museum, which has the largest collection of Picasso paintings in the world. Well its past my bed time. Adios familia!! Se amo :)
