PTSD

PTSD is the belligerent twin we weren't born with and arrived uninvited. If you've read my NDE piece, then you know why I have it. Whatever way PTSD got into your life, mine being raped, remember this, "never be ashamed." Shame is "I am bad", where guilt is "I feel bad". For 20 years, I was in denial and shame held me there. Hang in there, seek counseling, and if your medicated, be faithful to that. Exercise is very good, along with proper diet [ya go ahead and cheat once in awhile], meditation, and solid friendships. Especially with men, I tend to chase people away. That's a trust issue. Please now that you are not alone, and above all feel free to lean on me, or post your feelings on PTSD, Depression, other Anxiety or whatever ails you. Let's be happy too! There's not much happy in the world, even for the people who haven't a clue about what we're going through. My novel, "The Sparrow, A Survival Guide For Male Victims Of Sexual Trauma, With Insights For Women" will hopefully contain some of your reflections [with your permission of course]. Peace Friends!
