I just had an extremely frustrating wrestle with the PA tax dept. Rather than going into it, I'm going to wait until the story finishes and show you this pauldron I made.

It's for my sheild arm, so, it's not super ornate in terms of layering. My sword arm is probably going to have multiple levels of articulation to support the motion I need when I spar, especially when I use a sword. If I was sure about sticking with my axe I could probably do both shoulders this way, but, nah :) ....ever since  Saire introduced sheilds into the mix, axes got a lot less usefull XP One on one, longsword vs axe I was beating him all the time because I could easily disarm him and then just go for the kill, so to speak. Sheilds mean he has another thing to block with, another thing to press with. I have no idea how the 2h greatsword he built will impact things, but man do we need a sparring room if we want to find out XP

Oh, right, the armor.

So here's an indoor shot from last night, just to show the general shape from the front. The swordbreaker (the part that acts like a second collar) ended up being a little smaller than I had intended and the edges arent my best work, but, I'm doing this for fun.

Here's a closeup in natural light of the front part that will connect to the breastplate via brass buckle

And here's the back panel that will connect in the same way, and protect my shoulder blade.

Aand here's a shot of the top and swordbreaker :)

:)

So anyway..I'll probably work on the breastplate next, since that will definatley affect my right pauldron. I need to find some good gloves to go with my bracers, I'll probably mod them out somewhat. Also boots. I totally want to do like..epic ATLA fire nation boots, but with more panels. Just, the raised toe shape. I think. Maybe. I'll have to move in them first to see if it's feasible.
