New Year's Eve
So its New Years Eve. I guess I should be making some kind of a retospective or reflective post, but I'm not in that kind of humour.
I'm heading into town tonight with a gang of my friends. We will probably head into town around 6pm, and head to a bar somewhere. We have tickets to go to Spirit tonight, which is one of the better clubs in Dublin. I had some of the best nights of the year there during the summer, so am looking forward to going back there tonight. The tunes they spin there are normally mighty fine!
This time last year I was in Portland, Oregon, visiting Sacheen, and spend NYE in Kells Irish pub in downtown Portland. The year before I was in Edinburgh, Scotland, which was a great New Years Eve too. NYE 2000 was fairly crap, spent in a pub in Leixlip. The year before that, for the Millennium, was spent in Cream in Liverpool, England, which was a classic night. I wonder how tonight will measure up. I often think NYE is a big anti-climax, but then if I don't do anything special, I feel that I am missing out on something.
