I miss a lot of "social events" since I'm stuck in the lab for an average 12 hours each day. So I love perusing the nytimes sections for a little glimpse into the "out there" world. I have been following the London Fashion Week much to the raised eyebrows and amused stares of my "colleages" (everyone has their own laptop to work on, but of course everyone looks about as often at your screen as theirs). My favourite websites are fashionista blogs Style Bubble, Fashion is Spinach and La Coquette.
There's also a really nice travel community: RealTravel.com I go there whenever the need for a vacation / year off for a roadtrip through the Americas becomes unbearable (at least once a day)
