So I finished my purse. It looks really cute. Came out extremely well I think. But that's my opinion. And considering it was my first time doing something like that as well as making up the pattern as I went I do think it came out very well. I haven't used it yet. But I plan on using it tomorrow. I even put a little pocket on the inside so that I have a place to put chapstick or something small so that it doesn't fall to the bottom and get lost. We all know how purses have a tendicy to eat things.
With the purse done, I still don't have the drive to make the snowflakes. I know that I'm running out of time. But I just don't seem to be able to sit down and make them. Hopefully I'll find the drive to do so soon. They need to get done and I know that I need to make at least seven sets. And those seven sets have to be perfect. Yes, I'm perfectionist when it comes to things that I am giving as a gift that I have made. I want everyone to cherish it and not think that they are crap. Soon... I will start on the sets soon... Just as soon as I decide when pattern I'm going to make for everyone. Not to mention what I'm going to use to make them. What am I getting myself into?
I did sit down to crochet today though. And out came a cell phone holder that hooks to you're belt. I'm thrilled with it. It's just darling. And my cell phone fits in it perfectly. Once again I didn't have a pattern when I sat down to make it. I knew what I wanted and went from there. I had to restart it three times I think it was. But the end result was worth it. It went from one color to three colors, and I don't think that there could have been a better combination of three colors. They are gorgeous together. I used to same basic pattern that I did for the purse, (which was taken from a pattern for a rug) and just scalled it down. The colors are very wintery, a baby blue, a light lavender, and a thin white with an irridesant touch to it. Looking at it in the light the blue actucally looks silver. I have to learn to get the loop on the back centered though... Hmm... that's the only thing I'm not happy with about it. But that's just learning how to do it. And it's mine so it doesn't have to be perfect. And the best par is that Belle and Jenks approved of the colors. They kept wanting to play with the yarn while I was working with it.
Jenks is getting better. He's starting to play more and he's opening his eye a lot more. Yesterday I have him chasing me as I ran through the living room. He was so cute. When I stopped running he would look at me "like what are you doing? you're supposed to be playing with me." I actucally had to slowly introduce yarn to him today. He's really skittish when it comes to some things. I guess that's because he's been in the hospital for a while instead of at home with us. But he's getting better.
Belle on the other hand, is still a little terror. She loves to play and to jump on Jenks. It's so funny to watch her when she gets in one of her running fits. SHe start off running out of the living room and into one of the bedrooms and then comes tearing back around the corner and slided across the hard wood floor. And she'll keep doing that for about fifteen minutes. It's adorable to watch.
I need to do laundary. Best Buy came through and I started last night. Am I thrilled with it? I don't know yet. Haven't actucally worked, just watched a bunch of videos. Regualr orientation stuff. Great fun. It sucks though, I have to get up about four thirty tomorrow morning because I have to be at work at 6:45 am. Although with it being that early is shouldn't take me an hour to get there, hmm...maybe I'll stop and get something to eat. Chik-Fil-A is open at six. I'll just have to see when I get up and how the morning goes.
