Nicely written. I like the way the story unfolds with the narrator’s reaction to seeing an Isshin.The blue hair reminds me of anime characters and Marge Simpson. The contrast between the palace and ordinary life is crisp especially with the narrator taking about the ordinary village life in contrast to ‘the magic of the Palace and the Ruler of Morai.’ Are Isshin and Kaizoe different races in contrast to villagers?

As for this universe, I was going through an anime phase when I wrote the story, and my affinity with the color blue is ongoing... so that explains it... haha!

Isshin and Kaizoe are not really different races, rather they are special humans born within the population of Morai. There are 5 Isshin born every generation and only 1 Kaizoe.
