Title: Times Like This
Prompt: I Shouldn’t Want This
Word Count: 141
Rating: PG
Original/Fandom:Original
Pairings (if any) (none mentioned, but I'm thinking of Nick/Cate from my original story, Locked Inside)
Warnings (Non-Con/Dub-Con/RPF etc): None
Summary: She can't have him.

She watched him from across the room; the lines of his body, the curve of his jaw, and the way his brown eyes sparkled when the corner of his mouth went up in a half smile. It sent a chill up her spine, and she looked away.

No, no, and no! She couldn't look at him that way. He wasn't hers. He wasn't anywhere near being hers, and he never would be, not that she wanted him anyway, not really. Not if she thought about it long enough and hard enough, and not if she had her head on straight. It was only at times like this when she was looking at him, or when she was alone at night and laying in her bed that she thought it might be nice. Other times, it was much easier.

Much, much easier.

Title: Quiet At Last
Prompt: Deep and Dark
Word Count: 136
Rating: PG
Original/Fandom: Original: Hideaway
Pairings (if any) None
Warnings (Non-Con/Dub-Con/RPF etc): None
Summary: Paul tries to get Arthur to go to the cafeteria with him (prompt used for Arthur's mood. LOL)

Arthur had his nose buried in his book. He blew his hair out of face just when Paul tapped him hard on the shoulder.

"Seriously, Artie, how long are you gonna study?"

Arthur wasn't in the mood to deal with Paul's antics at the moment, and he grit his teeth. "Till I'm done."

Paul flopped down on the chair under his loft. "Come on...! I'm so hungry! Let's go to the cafeteria and get some food."

Arthur shut his book and turned to look at Paul through narrowed eyes. "Nothing is stopping you."

Paul stared back at him for a moment before standing up and brushing off his pants. "Fine," he said. "But don't expect me to get you anything."

Arthur watched him leave the room and then turned back to his books. Quiet at last.
