It's been a relaxing long Presidents Day weekend. Saturday we relaxed and ended the day by watching
Notes On A Scandal, which I looved! There's some phenomenal acting by both Cate Blanchett and Judi Dench. I adore Judi Dench anyway. I would be utterly star struck if I ever met her. Notes On A Scandal is a powerful dramatic thriller; now I want to read the book.
Yesterday was cleaning and laundry.
rfunk is at work today in the next room. I've spent most of the day in my study as well, tackling a few outstanding personal business items.
This morning I tried out a new yoga DVD that I rented from Netflix:
Accessible Yoga For Every Body. It's an hour-long advanced beginner or intermediate yoga class. Though it's marketed to those of middle-age, I felt perfectly comfortable with it. The instructor gives a few modifications for poses, she doesn't provide many, so it really isn't suitable for beginners, but is a decent, basic, hatha yoga class.
A yoga video
review site that I have found useful says that
Accessible Yoga For Every Body is an Anusara hatha yoga practice.
Anusara yoga is a modern yoga school (founded in 1997) that focuses on opening the heart with gentle backbends. I found the practice refreshing and just challenging enough for me right now. As I am trying to build a DVD collection that leads me step-by-step from beginning to challenging, I went ahead and ordered the DVD from Amazon.
