Yesterday I felt not so good. I was reeaaally tired, my eyes were squinty, my throat a bit scratchy, and my face felt all puffy. I left work a little early, came home and started taking Airborne. I felt better this morning, but still tired, so I stayed home to rest and let the Airborne do its thing.
Today I have been reading Terry Pratchett's
Witches Abroad, a satire of the fairy tale in Terry Pratchett's dry style. It's fun trying to pick out all the different stories mentioned in passing. The book prompts such questions as: "Do you remember the name of the Russian witch who lived in a house on chicken legs?"* Being an amusing and quick read, it's a great book for when you are sick. However, it's not so conducive to sleep: I keep wanting to read more. Even so, I have taken several naps today and do feel much better. :)
