Kitchen in indigo and yellow
This weekend I have been painting in my kitchen. Yesterday I finally put a second coat on the cabinets, and put a base coat on one wall. I hope to paint a based coat on two more walls between today and tomorrow (which I have off).
I love the color the cabinets turned out. It's just about the indigo I had in mind. The wall I'm not quite so sure about. This isn't just yellow, this is all-caps yellow. YELLOW!!! I will try living with it for a while to see how I like it. But I may end up putting a wash overtop in a more orangey color to tone down the yellow a but. We shall see. I really needed to get up some bright colors...the pale buttery creamy yellow of the walls was getting depressing.
I plan to put a terra-cotta orange on the wall that shows in the left of the photo.
