Good news
Good news on several fronts. My car has been hesitating in the way that lead to it completely stalling out in November. I'm going to take it back to the place that fixed it before and have them check their previous work and see if they know what's going on. Since I am taking tomorrow off work I was going to take the car to the shop tomorrow, but when I called them they said they wouldn't have time until next Thursday. While on the one hand this means I will have to take extra vacation hours next week, it also means I will have plenty of time to finish getting my house ready for my mom's visit this weekend. So that is actually a relief.
I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the line connecting my fuel oil tanks (located in the basement) has a slight leak. I would have tried to tighten them myself but I was afraid of creating a spark and subsequent explosion. It turns out that the company that installed them will service the tanks. I called them and they can send someone out tomorrow to see about tightening the connections. That's a relief as well.
