I could be making it up, but my vision seems to continue to improve. My middle vision is the best. My close vision is a bit odd because I have a bit of trouble figuring out where to hold a sheet of writing in order to best read it. Optimum reading distance has apparently changed for me a little bit. People say I'm not as squinty as I was on ( Read more... )

I was nearsighted for probably at least 2-3 years before anyone figured it out. When I finally got glasses (7th grade), I remember coming out of the place wearing them, and stopping in total astonishment and awe of the TREES! I could see not just vague conglomerations of green, but actual LEAVES! Masses of individual leaves moving in the wind! I was floored by the beauty of it.

I'm so glad you're having fun with your new eyes. :-) Can't wait to SEE you, haha... no really, we need to plan for it...

The first thing I remember seeing when I first got glasses was the dust on the window of the optometrist's store. I think I also remember seeing leaves, too. Yes, I think so. It was so amazing to have clear vision.

I'm so glad you're having fun with your new eyes.

Eyes are the greatest toy!!

Email me and let me know what would be a good time to come down for a visit. Now that my major stressors are out of the way, I'd love to see y'all :)

Oh, I meant to ask, is driving different? Harder? Easier? Weird in any way?

Driving is fine. During the daytime I just have a little more difficulty reading road signs, At night I have a little halo or starburst effect around lights, headlights and the like. But I have that when I wear contacts at night, too. So it really isn't that unusual. That effect may or may not get better. Even if it doesn't, I don't think it's a problem, just a bit of a nuisance.
