Anybody know of a good resource for worldbuilding questions that is aimed more at science fiction/modern setting worlds rather than fantasy/historical settings?

ETA: Specifically superheroic/comic book-style universe building would be most excellently appropriate.

Found this while looking for writing prompt bingo card communities. It's a bingo card generator that you can either use to create your own bingo card (i.e. give it a list of prompts of your own choosing) or use one of a variety of pre-generated lists. Ordered a book online and found this letter tucked in the back (this is one of the fun things about buying used books). I'm not sure when it was actually written, but it pretty clearly is a typewritten letter that predates the internet. Also, watching documentary on Hippies and there's a kitten! On a table watching people eat, like, "Hey, gimme some of that!" And then realizing that the kitten's 46X great grandchildren are likely on the Internet today.

When I write a story, what do readers immediately look for?

On Manboobz.com, I found a link to Regender.com, a site that will take a website and change the genders of the pronouns therein. So, of course, I had to run a few fics through it.
