There is a convention known as FutureCon starting tomorrow (31 Dec.) in Toronto.

I was at the Con-Cept convention in Montréal from Friday till Sunday and it was still pretty good, though it had its flaws.

The biggest irritation, as I mentioned earlier, had to do with the lack of a Con Suite. The Con Suite itself has been an issue in the past; the con claimed to have it open “24 hours”, but I went by it late on Friday evening ( ( Read more... )

Yesterday evening, a number of us (including popelaksmi, kallisti, dewline, Tsivia, meloncolliepoet and yours truly) met to plan next year’s edition of Can-Con, the Little Con that Could. While we were lucky to get as far as we did, luck will not always suffice. Hence the planning for next year’s edition of the convention is now underway.
