I feel an erie sense of calm. Like the warm sunny aftermath of a devastating storm. Drudged up a lot of old memories, memories both painful and shameful. But the past is the past. And with this new day, a new feeling of comfort ensues. Happiness is still far off beyond the horizon, but for the first time in a long time I can lay my head down
