things I forgot:
- I played in a master class yesterday with a horn player from the NSO (but like the only people there were the people playing and 3 extras - oops) and you know what she says to me after I finish playing? She says "you know what I like about your playing? You don't play like a tuba, you play like a real musical instrument." and I was like "uh . . . is the tuba not a real musical instrument?" and of course everyone in the audience is laughing, especially my quintet guys because all they ever do is make fun of me for playing tuba. What a moment.
- Some of the SMI kids have started calling me "Genay" as in Forest Gump "Genay" and it's pretty awesome.
