Why?
Man these last few weeks have been interesting...... I've been waiting to hear back for a job, from WaMu to be a teller. Well I figured I would get it, mainly cuz I have almost 2 years of customer service, and cash handling experience. Also I have a couple of friends down there that thouhgt I should apply, and talked me up, like I was the best thing since the Morning after pill (Sliced bread gets enough credit, time to change it up) WEll This was on the 14, they said that they need to do a background check and they'll let me know. I talked to my friend later on, and she said they seemed to want to hire me, so my hopes were really high. Well that came crashing down today, when the words that seem to haunt me, whenever I interview for a job came back, "We've decided to go with someone else."
Am I really that unhireable? I mean, I can't seem to get a job at a place which should be relativly easy to get into. This is I think the 6th or 7th job I've tried for, with another, "No" attached. There was the Co-op, Rosauers, The DDP, twice, The International students and scholars department, zales(Whom I still have yet to hear back for round 2) and this. Not to mention the other 2 departments on WSU and one on U of I, that didn't even call me in for an interview, and I exceeded qualifacations for those.
I'm starting to dread having to go back to Dissmores, cuz I really don't want to do that. All I can remember from being there is being miserable, and coming home cranky a lot. If I did I would want to be a cashier only, in the mornings, monday through friday, but I know that's not possible. Having worked in the pricing dept. I know how to change prices, and hang tags, and if someone calls in sick, then I'll be next in line to do it, and I don't want to do that. But I know if I went back I would still be helping out when needed, and I wasn't getting paid enough to be working in 3 departments at once. I was just above minimum wage, like 15 cents over. Not worth it at all.
Well here's to hoping I can find something soon......
