It's been a while since I posted, I guess. I've been pretty overwhelmed with the upcoming Oscars. As of now, I have everything except Letters to Iwo Jima and the ten short format narratives. I only have one cent (literally) in the bank now, and thus might have a tough time paying to see these three screenings, but I'll make it happen somehow. ( Read more... )

I am doing pretty well this year at not spending tons of money on Oscar movies. Many I had already seen, and a lot of the ones I haven't I have been able to download. I feel bad about it, but I'll most likely buy them on DVD (if they're any good) and they'll get my money then. Silly to pay multiple times for the same thing ( Read more... )

I did it. I have made up for the wrench in the machinery that was The Wheel of Time. As of today, I am a day ahead of schedule to read 52 books this year. Thank you Kurt Vonnegut, for writing books that are quick reads and enjoyable (though, truth be told, Timequake, which I just finished is my least favorite so far.)
