This makes me sick. The justice system isn't a popularity contest, and it's not a democratic system. You don't get to vote on whether you're guilty or not. You drink, you drive, you get caught, you go to jail. A petition shouldn't have any effect. In fact, it should enrage the judge to increase her sentence.
