I need to get this out of the way today really before I get more distracted by my subject and end up with too much work to do over the weekend because it will make going out seem like less of a good idea.
Day one: a song
Day two: a picture
Day three: a book/ebook/fanfic
Day four: a site
Day five: a youtube clip
Day six: a quote
Day seven: whatever tickles your fancy.
Let's see if we can't cover all of the first 6 points above relating to what would be tickling my fancy if I could use it at the moment, my Kawasaki GPz 400S (or GPz400S or GPz 400 S, depending on what you read).
Although I can't really find any Kawasaki songs, normally you make your own music on a motorcycle through noise! I can't find my specific bike unfortunately, but here's a clip of the same bike with a slightly larger engine. The exhausts are the same though so there's practically no difference in sound!

They go 'chuga-chuga' because it's a 2-cylinder engine, not a 4 like most vehicles which produce a smoother sound as all 4 cylinders are pumping exhaust gases into the exhaust at different times meaning you get a more constant pressure in coming through the exhaust. It's probably made a bit worse as these bikes have 2 exhausts, so each one makes a noise individually.
So that's my bike. You might notice it's missing the bellypan, but upon looking into these it appears some may have come with them and some without, whereas the GPz 400R had a full fairing on the front. The GPz 400S was actually only sold in Japan meaning mine had been imported from Japan to the US before it made it over to Britain.
Websites I have found handy have been:
http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/kawasaki/kawasaki_gpz400s%2086.htmhttp://reviews.preloved.co.uk/fuseaction-reviews.showreview/productId-2271/028b8522.htmlhttp://www.bikepics.com/kawasaki/gpz400/http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/kawasaki/kawasaki_gpz400r%2085.htmhttp://www.geocities.com/nikoslz/Kawasaki_GPZ_400R_Specs.htm It takes some research to find out things about these bikes! One other thing I found useful is finding websites with parts for this bike (mainly eBay) and then checking other bikes that the parts will fit as you can then just specify the other bike and get parts that way.
Another interesting (well, I suppose that depends on your viewpoint) thing about these is they were around at the same time as the first Ninja, the GPz 900R, which was essentially the same bike with a 900cc 4-cylinder engine and full fairing. After that anything which has had the same letter designations as the bigger Ninjas have been Ninjas also, so my bike is an early mini Ninja really. So here's some funny Ninja adverts, I think for the 2006 Ninjas.

Hi-5!
And for the quote? "Let the good times roll." It's Kawasaki's current tag-line.
