chivalry is dead, but you're still kinda cute

Chris and I leave our LA apartment in a little less than three weeks, and the end couldn't come soon enough. one thing I'm sure of after this summer is that I never want to live in Los Angeles permanently. the only good thing I ever find to say about the city is the weather...but I don't even really like that. the wonderful/happy feeling you associate with pretty days completely disappears, because you get used to that as the norm. then suddenly you have the unnerving realization that it hasn't rained in two months. I can't wait to be back on the road--this time we're hitting the Pacific Northwest, which I am beyond thrilled about. (in a super-short recap of the journey over, let me say: Nashville and Austin were my favorite cities, Kentucky and Texas were my favorite states, El Paso was by far the most depressing but we got drunk in Mexico and didn't have to think about it much.)
I am incredibly eager to be back in Boston and get reacclimated to life there. I've also been working on figuring out my post-graduation plans. Paris, Stockholm, and rural(ish) France are my priority locations at the moment. I really love my internship and wish that I could entertain thoughts of working there someday, but I just couldn't deal with LA when there are so many amazing places to live in the world.
one exciting thing I got to do recently is operate a Steadicam for about fifteen minutes, which was really cool. the only other exciting things in my life have been Netflix movies, as we barely ever go out. this weekend Chris and I may take a little trip to Catalina, though, which should be very nice.
humidity has hit the west coast hard, and our apartment is infested with ants, so this post comes from a very uncomfortable Liz. but I hope you all are well, xo.
