Closing out May
Happy Memorial Day!
Can't believe it's almost June. ._. This means several things.
- Less than a week 'til the wedding (yay!)
- Less than a week 'til Inventory (not yay.)
- Almost a month 'til Supercon (yay, but eek because work on my cosplays is coming down to the wire...>.>)
- Just over two weeks before I have to get my other cavities filled (blarg.)
Apparently family coming down for the wedding are going to start showing up on Wednesday. People will be coming down Wed-Friday, and then on Saturday there will be a lunch cook-out at Sombrero beach, before everyone heads to the beach at the resort where the wedding will be at 5:00. And then after that we're going out to dinner. So Saturday will be a busy day! I'm looking forward to it, though. It can be nice to have a busy day once in awhile.
Then on Sunday it's Inventory day at work. I hope John doesn't do anything stupid this year, because trying to do returns and Inventory at the same time last year was an utter fiasco. -_- If I have to spend another two months explaining that we might have the book a customer wants, but that it's buried under 500 pounds of boxes in the back, I will not be a happy bookstore slave. But we do get free pizza and soda. So.
I had my first manicure today. (Used a gift certificate I got for Christmas.) They're painted with a kind of shimmery super-light pink with French tips now. (Apparently the shimmery nail polish was called "Who needs a prince?" I lol'd. xDDD) I think they look pretty nice. ^^ Now to hopefully not mess them up before Saturday. xD I was going to take a picture and post it, but the battery in my camera had to be charged. I'll probably post a picture of them with the rest of the wedding pic spam that will come in a picture post next week.
Since family is coming down, even though they aren't staying at our house (thank gods...) I decided to use this as an excuse to do spring cleaning. =| I hate cleaning so I pretty much ignore it and just vacuum occasionally until we do one major cleaning once a year. Awhile back I did my bookshelf and the corner with my cedar chest. This weekend I cleaned my kitty/animal figurines (I have 100+ of them. OTL I am Laura from the Glass Menagerie.), my dresser and my desk. (And spent one afternoon talking to Gina, because that's more important than any kind of stupid cleaning. ;3 <3) Now I have to pick up all my stuff on the floor and vacuum, and put the stuff back slightly more organized, which I'll hopefully do today. Plus Mom and I were planning to bake zucchini bread and I might do a little more work on my cosplay if there's time. Even though I dislike cleaning, it is kind of nice to have my dresser and desk all neat and organized again. I can actually see my desk calendar now. xD
