A recap of film 'Bridgeshead Revisited'. Just as what I add in the pic---
They shouldn't have kissed each other. They shoudn't.
And Charles NEVER EVER kissed Sabastian in E.W.'s original book. Why they made Sabastian like a gay man plus a little sissy? He's childish, to be accurate.
I acknowledge the special relationship between Charles and Sabastian, like nowadays, bromance. While this ,seems to exceed its real border line.
The film spoiled the image to which these two guys give me from E.W.'s book.
The version of 1981, I think, is better.
The Sabastian in that version is much like what the author wrote and the bear which Sabastian always carried is much more adorable than it in this film.
