Give Me Some Music
I want some new music to listen to! The music meme and stuff has put me on a spree, but I've gotten stuck in a rut.
I like music that has to do with stories, but I also want some stand-alone good to listen to songs.
If you're going to suggest the former, tell me what it comes from, so I can check that out first. Things like musicals... The songs aren't as cool when you don't know the story behind it. TV show theme songs also go in this category. Video game music too, though I don't have to like the game to like the music. Orchestrated movie soundtracks too.
And for the latter... I generally don't like rap, but that's just because of the subject matter. I tend to prefer music with more out-of-the-ordinary instruments instead of just simply drums, guitars & keyboard. Like Green Day's use of the accordion in the song Misery. Also, the music of the group called Project (the one that Greg Patillo, the beatboxing flute player, is part of). Certain ska-type songs. Things like that. I like humorous/nerdy songs like the Mario Kart Love Song, and Cloud Song. I like pop/upbeat music, like Mika, and Smile.dk's stuff which while listening to it is impossible to be unhappy. o_o. I also like purely instrumental songs, but those have got to move / not be boring / have some kind of progression / not be overly repetitive. Project's music falls under that category too, and some remixes of songs that I have found. Hmm... I like music with a good beat to it. °w°. Like something that I would like to choreograph a hip-hop dance to.
Harhar... My musical tastes are very varied. What I listed before are my preferences, but I'll listen to basically anything - I'm open to new experiences, ja? Just give me an idea what kind of music it is if you suggest something. :)
