So recently South, and possibly other schools, have instated a new Rule in which if a person is outside of the Classroom after the bell rings you have to go to the "Star Room". This new rule is crazy and makes no sense, Even if you are 3 feet from your class and the bell just rang 3 seconds ago you have to go down to the "Star Room". And then well you’re in the "Star Room" you do a work sheet type thing about how you should be in class on time. You can't leave the room and you are forced to stay there all hour. So then you miss an hour of class to learn about how you should be in class. They also have in this packet some examples of how in college if you late they wont let you in to the class, and how at a work place if you just a little late they will fire you. There are also two stories about this girl and Al(I'll tell you if you're interested) but the guy blow-dries his hair, it just doesn’t make sense. Then now a person is, instead of being late to class, missing a whole hour. This new Rule doesn’t make any sense. Is there anything that can be done to counter this rule? Or to reform the rule? Because this rule is making school counter productive. I'm interested to know.

Recently I had a run in with this new rule. It happened between my 5Th(Concert Band, room 100) and 6Th(French, room 321) hour. They are across the whole school. It’s hard enough to get across without people, but add 2000 others and it's near imposable to do. But they always tell you to use the bathroom during passing time right? Well I had to use the bathroom, so I went during passing time. After using the bathroom I walk as fast as I can to class. As I arrived to my class the bell rings. 5 feet from my class and 5 seconds after the bell rings whom else do I run into either then Doggny. She forced me to give my ID up to her and walked me and another student down to the "Star Room". I was forced to stay in that room for the rest of the hour doing a work sheet telling me about how I should be in class. I missed a presentation for French and have to find out how to make it, along with other work, up. Am I just over reacting to this rule? Or have the rules just truly gone overboard? I'm by no means a bad student, I have a 3.00GPA, don't skip class, and rarely late. Who else agrees that this rule makes no sense?
