Birthday Weekend
My birthday weekend = about as eventful as my new year’s. Friday day I spent about 4 hours making prints in the photos lab all by myself. The silence was golden, I assure you. Friday night Joe came up and was very happy to see me which made me feel exceptionally good since my roommates decided to all ditch me. The downside of Friday is that I drank too much too quickly; I ended up very sickly. So all that night and through Saturday my stomach hurt, we basically didn’t do much other than lay on the couch and watch movies on my laptop because the DVD player broke. We did go out to breakfast at Tempo and to the Field Museum Saturday, which was quite fun. I’m glad he was there to help me with my assignment because I would’ve given up half way through otherwise. I wish I didn’t still feel sick. As a whole though it was really nice that he came up because despite my roommates’ antisocial behavior, it was a great and relaxing weekend.
Today I took Joe to the train station, and I decided that since I couldn’t stomach another bus ride that I’d take a walk back towards campus. Well I walked to Old Navy and went shopping for Rome… Then I walked/took a bus briefly to Filene’s Basement where I shopped for Italy some more. I think I officially have shirts to wear! Woo! Then I walked to L’Appetito and got a slice of pizza and some amazing tiramisu. Then I walked home to indulge in it. :-)
And now, with my stomach very fully and still a little funky, I think that is my cue to go sleep because that’s something I haven’t done soundly in two nights and I’m burned out.
