Hallelujah! A simple, uncomplicated day!

News and Politics Finally, a day where things went okay, and nothing got complicated. Got up, got ready for church, made coffee without anything blowing up, falling down or falling apart. My friend came and picked me up, and we got to church with no traffic jams, accidents, or other incidents. Church service went very well, Sunday School went very well, even had a new kid in class today that actually seems to have parents that back up Bible teachings at home, instead of expecting their kid's entire spiritual education to occur for 45 minutes every Sunday and not to be bothered about it the rest of the week. Arrived home safely, without incident, made lunch without the kitchen exploding, did laundry without anything flooding or exploding or not working, got the trash to the curb without spilling anything, practiced guitar for a couple of hours, fixed dinner, took a roll down the street to the store to pick up milk without getting smashed to the pavement by stupid drivers, got home in the same condition as when I left (alive and happy about it). Now, I am just happily unwinding before going to bed.
Thanks to all of you who PM'd me to cheer me up over the sucky week, the commiseration was greatly appreciated, and especially the advice to inform landlord how greatly stressful and inconveniencing the flood of 2008 was. Said landlord has cut me substantial financial break for the trouble, and has promised that if lack-of-maintenance-man sets foot on my doorstep again, I am permitted to beat him with large, blunt objects until he is either dead or goes away. And, for those of the musical bent who may be wondering - no, I will not beat him with the Esteban amp, or the guitar. Turns out, the amp and pickup are fine, I just have a bad cable. Will try to replace that at the music store this week, so I can use the guitar for church music. It will be easier than having to mike the guitar and myself if I can just use the amp.
And now, I shall go and tuck myself into my little ducky bed, which I will eventually replace with a bigger ducky bed, once I find a nice store that will be wheelchair accessible so I can actually shop for one. I bid you all a goodnight, with peaceful and uncomplicated dreams!
