oohh, the in-ter-net
I'm at the Jave Room using wireless internet on my brand new laptop! It's pretty! :) (Unfortunately the wireless doesn't work in our apartment yet, but we're fixing that...) My old laptop, Juanita Slutbag, was a good, good laptop, considering I got her used at a computer show over 3 years ago. I took her with me to Denmark and to Argentina, arranged a cappella songs on her, and there's a lot of writing and saved emails on her, including my thesis. However, considering Juanita's battery's shot, the sound is shot, the diskette drive is broken (not that computers really use diskette drives any more...), there's a thin, bright green line down the middle of the screen, and she never had a DVD player, it's time to retire her. She was probably 2-3 years old at the time I got her, and at the time I thought I got her at an insanely good price, but I actually got this laptop for pretty much the same price. Welcome Juanita Dos! ;)
Today is Pete's first day back to school for staff training, and I have the day off, as usual on Mondays.
