[Action - 458 Stone Street, Early Morning, Family-locked]
[Slowly, inch by inch, Dakki awakens. Which immediately strikes her as odd, as her thoughts spin up and engage. Mornings are usually a snap-bam-up-and-out-of-bed affair, not this sluggish, heavy-limbed...]
Hwaaaah....
[...was that a yawn? Oh, that felt weird. Her hardware wasn't prone

[But the grunt of annoyance certainly sounds like him. And the human waves a hand dismissively at Dakki, as his own brain goes through its boot sequence.]
Alicia, cut it out. I ain't gotta request today.

The grunt was totally him.]
Gat...?
[But was it, really? Really? Dakki dodges the dismissing hand, and finally shimmies her way out from under the covers. Then she kneels there, peering over him, not sure what to make of what she's seeing.]
He's got brown hair....
Hey! You! Whoever you are! Quit goofing around!
[And with a mighty tug, she pulls all the blankets off the bed and tosses them aside.]

[That's when he starts noticing how much things feel ... off. The feel of a heartbeat and blood coursing through his veins, the difference in how his bones and muscles react ... and most importantly of all, the complete lack of any of his usual parts.]
What in th' hell?
[That voice ... that wasn't Alicia. That sounded more like-]
-Dakki?

[She's kneeling there beside him, hands on her hips, slightly bent over and looking disgruntled.
Also, blonde. She's looking very blonde today. She looked much more purple yesterday. Those features are definitely Dakki's, but the skin is unseamed, and her antennae are missing.]
You sound like Gat.
[She reaches out to poke him in the chest.]
But you're...!
[And then Dakki got a glimpse of her own arm, during the poking. She shuts up, stops everything, and gapes at it. Inspects it. Turning the wrist back and forth, staring at the fingers... poking it. General personal inspection.]
...dwuh?

[Gat sits up as he looks to his own body, bringing his hands into view. No seams on him, either. He's no longer a CAST, but a flesh-and-blood human.]
[As incredulously as a morning person can look, Gat looks over to his "wife."]
What th' hell's goin' on?
[Yep, still got that Texanesque drawl.]
Reply
I have no idea.
[She pats her face, then runs her fingers over her cheeks and forhead, continuing to take inventory. At the same time she shifts to sit properly, legs over the side of the bed.]
Maybe... it's a simulation. We're plugged into a simulation! A really fancy simulation.
[Then a few moments are taken to actually look at the room around them.]
This isn't my place and this isn't your place, so...?

[Gat takes a look around the bedroom. He can't seem to recall ever seeing a bedroom design this anywhere in Gurhal, or even Coral or Pioneer 2. Now that he thinks about it ...]
You don't think th' Supervisin' Director would have anythin' to do with this, do ya?
[Holupe Dence seemed to have a few screws coming looser with each training simulation he put to public beta.]
Reply
[She sounds a little distracted, as she stares at her toes and wiggles them.]
Hmm? ...I wouldn't put it past him... but I'm failing to see what kind of training this sort of simulation would offer.
[Let's test the new body some more! She rises smoothly to her feet, stretches, then makes a well-remembered gesture to pull something out of Nano Transformer storage...]
....hey!
[Flailing ensues.]
My stuff! Where's my stuff?! They're not simulating my stuff!

[And then his eyes fall on another nearby picture-the same man, with Dakki, and now two young human children who couldn't be a over ten years of age. What?]
[And nearby that, a mirror, in which he can see-that very same man. That was him in those pictures.]
[Visibly disturbed, Gat goes to speak, but Dakki's distress over the lack of her nano transformer cuts him off. He blinks, then attempts to feel behind his shoulder blades for the nano transformer unit, since that's where they're often located. Nope. Nothing.]
... Huh. Well, I reckon that's logical. They're makin' us humans, an' we ain't got a lick of th' parts we used to wear. Figures we wouldn't have th' rest of our things here with us.
Reply
[Welp. That's not working. Frowning, she turns herself around to see what Gat was getting up to. Doing that let her catch a look at herself in the mirror, and she was fascinated for a few moments more. Blonde hair!]
It's almost the color of Maya's...
Huh. Hey, are those pictures? What're they...
[Her in a nice dress. Him in something... formal-looking? And then them standing next to kids. There are no words to be said. Now is the time to be weirded out.]
Reply
Dakki, I don't think this here's any sim bein' run by th' GUARDIANS.
[Unless, of course, Holupe Dence had really gone off the deep end and gone "mad scientist."]
[((OOC: Euphemia was here before she dropped; her drone is probably still here as one of the kids, so my previous comment should read "one young human boy who couldn't be over ten years of age and another pink-haired human teenage girl."))]

[Still stunned, she looked blankly around the room. There were still things to investigate. She wasn't apt to give up on this mystery just because it included some weird pictures.]
So who's doing it?
[Dakki moved to the bedroom window and pulled the curtains aside carefully.]
We're planet-side, at least. Though I've never seen houses like these... Gat? Come take a look, have you seen anything like this before?
[With a little additional effort, she even manages to slide the window up and open.]

[How long had it been since he'd seen such a suburban sprawl like that? Certainly not in Gurhal. He tries to think back to his earliest days on Coral, but they are faint wisps of memory. Something that's very troubling to him; certainly some of his Coralian memories were corrupted due to everything he experienced on Ragol, but it was more definite as to what he could and couldn't remember. Not this murky half-remembrance.]
[In any case, he shakes his head.]
Naw. Been a long time since I could say I'd seen anythin' like that. 'Specially with houses of that kinda construction. Definitely don't make them like that in Gurhal anymore.
Reply
[Her voice goes quieter, the certainty leaving it.]
...what about back on Coral?
[She had never been there, herself. Heard of it. Saw a few saved images and videos. But Gat knew. His before was even more before-y than her before.]
Reply
Can't say for sure. It's-gettin' kinda hard to remember Coral right now.

[A little sigh, and she turns away from the window to look him over again.]
They did a pretty good job on converting you to human. You look like... mm, like you. You're very Gat-looking.
[And then she reaches up to tap at those little spiky bits of hair at the front of his head, grinning, fascinated.]
...it's like the antennna-bit on your head! But in hair form! And smaller.
