I was updating my youtube about me section and realized that it would make a good first meme on lj.
How did you get started on youtube:
I came to youtube and started making videos because of my love of classic shelle (yes, from Days of Our Lives). I remember seeing videos about classic shelle, thinking that what these people created were so cool, and I then wanting to do that too. So I started making videos and the rest is history!
Why I vid:
I vid for myself. If others like my videos that’s great, if they comment that is even better, but in reality youtube is a safer way for me to store my videos! In the nearly five years that I have been on youtube (boy time flies by!) I have gone through three computers and seven hard drives (computers should really be built ARMY TOUGH). I don’t get caught up with how many people are subscribed to me or how many people favorited what video or who stole and uploaded my videos (I suppose that’s a form of flattery). I do this for F-U-N!!!!
What I like to vid:
I love shipping and I am devoted to a fault at times. I love creating AU type of videos. I love telling a story. I prefer vidding slow songs rather than fast. Sometimes I do a bunch of vids for a couple and sometimes it is just once. Just because I don’t vid it doesn’t mean I don’t like that couple or show (if you check out my favorites you can see all the couples I love). Some show/couples just make me want to vid.
My new OTP:
Kara “Starbuck” Thrace & Lee “Apollo” Adama.
I heard about BSG when it came out but about five months ago I sat down and finally watched it. I got hooked. As soon as the brig scene started in the mini I knew that Starbuck and Apollo were meant to be (stupid poof). Plus, Kara is the most amazing character to ever be seen on the TV screen. It’s really funny that Starbuck is my favorite character since my personality is the closest to Apollo on the show. I also have to say that Kara has great taste in men (yes, I am choosing to block out that unfortunate choice during the Colonial Day celebration). Although, Kara and Lee are my new OTP I do like Sam. Michael Trucco, who plays Sam, is so hot and . . . tall. I really can’t wait to vid more of BSG.

The first time I ever saw DOOL was the episode after the Coronation shooting and shelle were hugging. I remember thinking that those two were such a cute couple but after watching a few episodes I discovered that they were NOT a couple. Then I got hooked and had to watch for what seemed to be FOREVER before they FINALLY got together. The kiss in the lagoon was worth it though. *sigh* So cute! Then I had to sit through some great story lines and some really bad ones (the twins *shudder*) but shelle always ends up back together (except at the end). Shelle will always have a special place in my heart!
