I remember Alan after he finally passed Statistics. He destroyed that text book. On the last day of class, before leaving campus, he ran the textbook over and over with the car, jumped on it, tore out pages, and I think it ended up in the lake. I might be embelleshing a little but I think it works that way.

Fact is though, Alan can now rattle off statisics like no ones business. Despite his understandable hatred for the class.

It does all suck mightily. I hope your mom comes though okay, or at least has no pain. You're too young to give up on your life though dude. Try to get Bright Futures back. If not, use you "minority" status to get anything you can!

I highly recommend staying with family as long as you can to finish college and save as much money as possible. A part time job while in college is fine - but getting through college will set you up better in the long run. And that's easier to do while you have people willing to help take care of you.
