Anyone out there who isn't easily squicked?

I'm working on something... interesting right now.  It's a fic that's going to involve a lot of things I've never tried before, some of which might be troublesome for more gentle readers.

I would like 4 readers to whom I can send the story as a WIP in order to receive feedback.  I've already chosen one person so there are 3 slots left.

omg I would love to do this. I, personally, have an interest towards supernatural AU with animalistic tendencies and I can withstand the other elements you mentioned pretty well so I could be your girl!

I strongly believe that characters are an, if not /the/ most, essential part of the story. They need to have multiple aspects to their personality and interaction between characters also needs to be credible. If you add a compelling world and plot to that then you have the basics of what could be an amazing story. It's no secret that I adore your stories (I really, really do) but I can take an objective perspective when needed. I've been writing a paper and reading up on scientific and linguistic published works so I am very much in the mood of (over)analyzing and taking it to the core of things haha.

I wonder when you need the beta reading to happen though since I am not always free.

You sound like you would make an excellent test reader. As for how much time this would involve, well I don't have a set schedule so I will be sending you the story piecemeal. The story will comprise of 3 parts (and hopefully an epilogue) with 5 chapters in each part. Each chapter will be told through the POV of one of the SHINee members. So it will be like this:

PART I
Jonghyun
Key
Minho
Taemin
Onew

Each chapter will be fairly long and I expect feedback for each of them. HOWEVER, I don't expect a thesis-length response. Just something akin to a long comment about what you reacted strongly to and the 3 questions I've mentioned.

I plan on releasing the story by part, which means that there's a lot of time between when I send you a chapter and when the I actually intend to publish the story online. You will have lots of time to mull over things. I'm in no rush and I want this story to be good before I release it into the wild for public consumption.

Does that sound doable?

That sounds very doable yes (no pun intended). Can't wait to get started! I will admit that most of all I'm curious about the knotting part and how you'll fit it in.

I've read the comment below about omega-verse, I didn't know there was such a genre. I think I'll go get myself acquainted with them since it could help me with your WIP and- I just really want to. God, I love linguistically skilled fandoms.

omg i didn't even see that one XD jonghyun why are you so suggestive.

i've gotten myself completely acquainted with some omega-verse fics. and you're looking at a new enthusiast. i like how this AU sets some guidelines but still leaves ample place for the writer to make it her own.

also for a writer who considers writing feelings a hard feat (yes i remember everything you say), you're gonna have some hair-pulling and table-flipping moments with the insane amounts of biology-driven urges and conflicting emotions that go on in the omega-verse.
