I'm more or less certain now my health problems are gut related. On Saturday night I didn't feel my usual cold, wearing a t-shirt at 13c indoors. Unfortunately I had a few beers and was wiped out all Sunday. Today, Monday, I felt very cold until a while after my afternoon glass of kefir, when I warmed up. Being really cold limits your mobility, you end up huddling under a blanket shivering until you warm up. Having to cook anything in that condition is a nightmare, it's much easier when the cold doesn't bother you as much. I think I damaged the mucosal layer in my gut through my years of beer drinking, not really surprisingly.
I'm watching Songs of Earth, a documentary about life in the remote and impossibly beautiful glacial valley of Oldedalen in Norway. I can't imagine having that outside your front door. I could live there though, I think, although I'd probably die due to being comparatively useless.
