I woke up early yesterday morning without a headache. It took me about a minute to work out why I felt so well. When I moved around I went back to feellng my usual crap. It's like a fraction of what that woman described going through with her head injury in the documentary Fasting: The Movie (available to watch on Prime). A very small fraction. My symptoms are all about a 1/10 but they're constant, 24/7 - the low-level fatigue, the headache and brain fog, the random, odd, itching - my ankle, my back, the top of my head - the insomnia. This morning the headache was about a .5/10, for a while anyway. It could be imaginary, we all feel better some days and worse others. The placebo effect takes a few weeks to wear off I've found.
It's a pity I never thought to look at the gut as a possible source of my health woes, it's the biggest organ in the body, followed by the liver and brain. For that reason alone I should have paid more attention. I'd always assumed the rather overweight women on Facebook who claim they have leaky gut would be cured of it if they switched to a low carb/ high fat diet.
