Let's hear it for car pooling. Siglinde wasn't sure she wanted to go to Autocrats Day Off, so she offered someone a ride to give herself a commitment to go. I was committed to going, but since I hate the event, the site, and camping in general, I could have seen myself put off going up and put it off until I wasn't showing up until 5 or 6 PM.

Ross and Christabell were telling me to mark the dance event in my calendar at KWDS while we were chatting (I won't be going - I'm in Toronto visiting a friend and seeing Cirque du Soliel on October 3rd).

The format is going to be similar to the dance event last year with it being one price that includes feast. Practically speaking the feast is a sideboard that is laid out for dancers to help themselves to all night, so they didn't feel there is a good way to have an additional "but you aren't allowed to eat the food" membership.

Darn. I was hoping since it wasn't in Kingston that it wasn't just a repeat of last year. Of course, October is 3 months away. Maybe I can afford it and maybe it will fit in with my diet/eating plans.

I'm really sorry I couldn't go to the dance event in Toronto. It would have just been too much money - this time for the hotel, not a $22 site fee. Plus, it would have been unfair to have left my husband with no car and two kids for a few days.

At least there is dance at Pennsic. So, I do get to go to a dance event this year. :)

I've been idly contemplating the Bardic Madness event. Perhaps we could coordinate plans?

I'm waiting for more information before I really get my heart set on going. If I do end up going, you are more than welcome to come with me.
