Little Oscar just jumped out of the fish tank. And landed five feet down on the floor and then flapped into the kitchen. I tried to grab him, but then I dropped him back down again when his dorsal fin started stabbing me.
And then we got a net, and he stopped flipping around, and we put him back in the tank. I know this is not the first time an oscar has ever jumped out of a fish tank, but it's the first time any fish of mine has jumped out of the fish tank. (While I was awake anyway...) He (she?) seems to be fine, if a little hairy and ragged looking.
Gerry did it. He was waving his fingers above the water to lure him over to one side of the tank while he dropped food in for the other fish on the opposite side (Little Oscar always steals everything until he's too bloated to move anymore).
Uhm... It worked. O_o
