I could seriously kick BooBoo's little furry butt today. Well, if I thought it would do any good. :P
Woke up this morning to find out that he'd gotten into the fridge again and eaten the almost-whole game hen I had wrapped up for the cats, and was working on the sliced deli ham. Somebody ate that game hen anyway. It'd barely have been a few

The closest my dog ever came to such behavior was when we tried to shut her in the kitchen overnight before she was housetrained. The kitchen had a swinging door, and no matter how we blockaded it, we'd come down to see her on the living room couch in the morning.
Silly puppy.

Somehow I am not surprised that a single door couldn't keep a dog and her couch separated. ;D

I hope Lily, if either? I keep preaching the gospel of "don't reward begging"... waiting nearby is one thing, snuffing up at the table and panting is another. Unfortunately, it's mostly my mom I have to convince.
Funny part about the couch - that was the one she wasn't supposed to be on. Later on she was trained to only get on the old beat-up couch in the tv-room, and stay off the nicer newer on in the living room. Now, of course, she's old, and my mom actually gets off the couch to let her get up when she barks at her. First time I saw this, I reacted with horror. Like, omg, you've let her be alpha dog?!

And yes, Lily. I admit, I'm good about being firm with Miles, mostly because I couldn't handle 120 lbs of ill-behaved dog. I'm a sucker for the cats though. Gerry is constantly telling me I spoil them. I do try to be fair though. If the cats get to lick something out, I make sure Miles gets a lick too.
Honestly, Lily's about the only one that really gets away with the begging. I just can't deal with the cute. ;D

True, true. I will straighten the couch for her when she looks hopefully at it... and I don't begrudge her her couch... I just worry that letting her bark for it is a mistake. I'll also wait five minutes to give her her snack if she's being a brat about it. (Sshh, don't tell.)
And I totally understand about Lily. I mean, who could handle that level of adorability? Those pics of her dressed as a faerie are just ridiculously cute.
