Good for you, girl! And a very cute picture on Andrew's site. I think you did an amazing job considering the training setbacks you've faced in the past couple of months. Just imagine what you can do when you get to train regularly??? I found it interesting to read the race report--I imagine I might do some walking in my upcoming race (10 miler on Sunday) as I started out with the field (= way too fast) in my previous races. I'll take a page from your book and try to pace myself better. Hope all in your house are feeling 100% now--it's so much more fun that way!
Thanks! I think it is really hard not to be tempted to go fast at the start, cause you are all excited and everyone seems to be going fast! So I think your idea of walking the first bit is a good idea. I might try that. Go join the walkers and walk in the first 3-5 mins or whatever... to get started, rather than run.
Everyone else is fine I think. I'm getting better. Hopefully will be closer to 100% by the weekend. :)
