So. Now that I know they're showing the episodes out of order, things are a bit more clear. I don't get why they chose last week's episode to be the first instead of the one that was based on Storm Front [I mean, I liked Birds of a Feather, but then, I read the books and I know how this 'verse works], but this one? Made total sense. Another [better!] case of the week and as a bonus, HI! Let's establish the ways of Dresden/Murphy and their interminable trust issues. [insert "I 'ship therefore I am" tirade here.]
And let's bring out exposition!Bob with the BLACK MAGIC IS BAD, MMMKAY? discourse I'm sure we'll hear another 200 times. Plus Uncle Justin is mentioned TWICE. Setting up a very special episode maybe?
Also, we now have a more sure picture of Murphy, which is great. She's still not the Murphy from the books, but I think so far I'm okay with that.
This is kind of weird, you know, watching a show based on books I've read over and over. I know MORE than what the episodes are showing us, and yeah, I'm missing some things [the Blue Beetle! The frying of electronic equipment at random! MISTER!]... but at the same time I'm having fun trying to extrapolate where they're going. Neat.
