The bad:
. My building has been going through renovations for the past couple of weeks and OMG ANNOYING. I understand they're needed, as this is a very old building, but it bugs. The horrible loud noise, the random turning off of electricity/water/gas/all of the above... GAH. The good news is they're wrapping up this Friday. Finally. Monday was an ( Read more... )

Hey, my VM eps is out of sinc. :(

I need to find a better release.

Was that hot Monday?

Congrats on Ally McBeal S1 and the extra gig. :)

The "real.proper" version showed up about 3 hours ago on BitMeTV. It's fine as far as I can tell.

YES, it was that hot. I'm still feeling the effects of it. :(

And thanks!

This is the first episode of the season that I've just wanted to put on repeat and have on a loop all day long while making icons. For once I felt that, emotionally, I was right there with Veronica for once. I actually thought that she was almost a bit too sane with the removal of the bug, I could have seen that continuing for a few episodes. But it got me that final scene now and that's all that matters, really.

The only season of Ally McBeal I've seriously contemplated buying is 4 - for RDJ - but it was £20 at the time, and cheap as that is, it's still more than I'm willing to pay.

YES. For the first time this season I felt FOR and WITH Veronica. I didn't even mind that the parallels between Trish/Kurt and V/L were completely anvilistic and heavy-handed, because they actually did serve a purpose.

I was spoiled for V bugging Logan's car, but I had NO IDEA she was going back on it. Imagine my surprise!

As much as I love RDJ, my favorite Ally seasons are actually 1 and 2. Probably because I know how the show ends -- and the fact that I gave up on it shortly after RDJ left.

Wow, "for once" twice in one sentence? I really need to get it together. Or possibly not comment when I can't keep a clear thought in my head. But what would be the fun in that?

I felt that Veronica going back on the bugging felt uncomfortably like a retread of her not reading Meg's e-mails in G-EM (um, I think. It's not like I've watched them enough to memorize what happens in which episode), so while everyone has been disappointed with her distrust and glad that she removed it, I've actually been wishing I didn't have to draw that parallel while keeping Veronica in the wrong just a little while longer. It would also have postponed the eventual inevitable V/L break-up.

I do enjoy the first two seasons more, especially the first one, but I'd be buying the DVDs for the caps and RDJ is the only person I'd be interested in making icons of. Of course, I have no RDJ icons, totally disproving my entire harangue.

The good thing about having only watched the first half of S2 ONCE is that I DON'T REMEMBER much of it. So I'm enjoying this episode without drawing the apparently obvious parallels with GEM. Yay. :)

I liked V going back for the bug because now I feel like she KNOWS when she's crossing the line. For a long time I was afraid she had just forgotten the difference between right and wrong -- or worse, that she knew it, but it didn't apply to herself.

When she apologized to Logan? And said she was trying to work on her trust issues? SIGH.

When her voice cracked just that little bit, I was a goner.

Eeek, heatstroke isn't fun. Hope you're feeling better!

YES. And they were both near tears and... SIGH. Right now I don't even care what the actors/writers say. Veronica LOVES Logan, even if she hasn't admitted it to herself. Yet.

And I'm much better today, thank you! :)

Right now I don't even care what the actors/writers say.

I've honestly become inured to what creative types say after QAF. One of the actors hated not only his ship, but his own character. Yet he never let it show onscreen IMO, so that's the only thing I focus on. As long as Kristen keeps performing like she did in that last scene? I don't care what she says about Logan! Because she sold every penny of it. Or something. I'm not making much sense.

Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Yeah, I hear you. I usually try not to read what actors say, but I don't think I could've kept with with fandom and avoided what KB was saying at the same time. I'm just happy that it looks like the writers don't agree with her. :)

I ADORE VERONICA. I mean I always have, but MORE SO this season. It's like she's TRYING. When she took the bug out, when she wouldn't give up the name, when she was trying so hard not to cry in the library and she actually explained herself. I just. She feels like VERONICA again.

Oh, I cried too. But I'm also sick and on a lot of drugs right now so maybe that's it.

Yeah. For the first time in a long time I was completely relating to Veronica instead of rolling my eyes at her. I still think she's got A LONG WAY to go, but this is a very fine start.
