Solitude, cancellations and obsessions

Hi there.  I've had a quiet weekend - Lou has been up in Brisbane getting her Bodyattack accreditation and so it's just been me and the dogs.  It's been a little lonely, but it's also nice to have a bit of  "me" time, I guess.   I'm so disorganised on my own though, I was supposed to play two games of softball yesterday, at 12.00 and 2.00pm  but I COMPLETELY FORGOT about it until about 1.30 !?!?!
I went to the beach with the dogs and was just lazing around, enjoying the sun and watching them play and then it just hit me - OH FUCK I HAVE MISSED ONE GAME AND I WILL NOT MAKE IT FOR THE START OF THE SECOND ONE!!  HAHA WHAT A MORON!  I have no excuses, it just didn't cross my mind AT ALL.  I got there about 10 mins after the second game had started so i had a half game, but it was a good one, got a few outs, hit a few decent hits and got home a few times, so it's all good.

We decided to cancel our trip to New Zealand.  All things started to point to the fact that it may not be a good idea right now.  When we booked it, we didn't realise that by the time it came around, neither of us would be working.... and although the flights and accomodation were booked, no doubt we would need a bit of spending money while we were there, so we just thought it might be better to postpone it for a while.  As well as that there is an open day on at the gym - a big massive free day for all, with all the new releases - new music, new moves, prizes, competitions etc and a chance to showcase everything, including the instructors - so being a great chance for Lou to put herself out there and be known as an instructor and hopefully pick up some more classes.  Plus she is due to start her new job after next week and so there's prep for that too.... We are a little sad about cancelling NZ but i think it's for the best right now.  We lost a little in cancellation fees but have a credit for the rest to use at another time, so we will do it next year.

I've been flogging Itunes this weekend and i think i have developed an obsession with a few songs.  Everytime i play Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars I go nuts about how great it is and how much I love it and am obsessed with it, then Augie March's One Crowded Hour comes on and i do the same.  Love the line "If love is a bolt from the blue then what is a bolt but a glorified screw, And that doesn't hold nothing together".  Also loving Black Fingernails Red Wine and Bob Sinclair's Rock this Party..... Oh and  Never meant to fail hahaha MUSIC IS THE BEST.  I LOVE IT.

Might drive to sydney next week... will see how we feel tomorrow..

Ciao all
