What I've decided I would like to see, as the main stuff:

C: Posada. There aren't that many better catchers, definitely not ones that would actually be up for grabs. And if anything, he's a Yankee through and through.
1b: Tino [In a dream world, we'd have Pujols, but that could only be a dream, St Louis would never let him go!]//Olerud, they could rotate well, I think.
2b: Cairo I think would be decent to stick with... I am patiently waiting for Sori to be a free agent and get him back.
SS: Duh, Jeter... He may not have been Mr. October II this year, but he's the man anyways.
3B: A-Rod, though I'm still not necessarily an A-Rod fan, I have to admit that he's good for the team in winning-wise.
LF: GODZILLA! He is one of the few people who hit to hit not hit to home run, yet can get the perfect big hits just when we need them USUALLY. He is a GREAT person for the team.
CF: Beltran. We can get him. We can offer him money no one else can.
RF: Sheffield. Please don't retire.\
DH: Bernie, my man.

Starting Pitching:

MUSSINA! MOOOSEEEE!
Lieber... He really started to pull together the second half of the season.

I don't think we should go after Johnson. He's getting old. He's going to be past his prime.

I'm torn on both Vasquez and El Duque. Vasquez has GREAT potential, but maybe the pressure is too much? El Duque is the man, but is he getting old/tired? Would he be good in the bullpen or later rotation? Loaiza also. He pulled together under pressure, is he capable of staying then? Or too risky???

Relief:

Rivera, duh.
[?] <--- These would have to be trades, so it all depends on what we can get done.

I say Urbina as a maybe. He's a free agent, He wouldn't cost that much, and he's not that bad.

I say we keep Sturtze. He started pulling together towards the end. I think he could even develop into a #4, 5 starter.

I'm up in the air on keeping Gordan. Had a great season, not so good postseason. Can he handle the pressure?

I say use Lofton, Giambi in trades. Keep Sierra for the bench, he's good to come on in a tight spot. Start training Crosby up, because Sheffield will be retiring eventually, and it would be good to train up someone instead of always buying superstar names.

And of course, keep the best manager ever, Torre. This was not his fault. Our boys screwed up royally and nothing Torre could do or say would have stopped them.
