I don't like certain harsh tastes. Water in plastic bottles acquires a taste that ranges from 'annoying' to 'undrinkable'. Most people, even when asked, don't notice. I have done side-by-side tests and can easily tell the difference. Because of this, I don't use any plastic drinking containers. Last night I was at my computer when I heard water sounds - which at first I ignored because of the exposed plumbing which can be a tad noisy.
