on the move
i moved. to highland. i know there are some region rats out there who know where i'm talking about but for everyone else, it's about ten minutes from where i was before. i'm living with my cousin eric now but between his work schedule and going to school, i pretty much live alone (he doesn't get home until almost midnight on weekdays). it's all pretty exciting but i've been really busy since i moved so i've yet to catch up. it feels less like i'm living here and more like i'm just staying here. i've only been here two weeks so i guess that has a lot to do with it. it's a strange little house. it'll be really nice in the summer since there's a big back porch and a slab with a big overhang so i can watch storms without having to stand in the old garage. there's also a big standalone garage out back but i'm told it's filled with junk. i'm hoping as a spring/summer project we can clear most or enough of it out so it can be used for other purposes (a place to smoke, make art, watch storms, put up a dart board, etc). i took a few photos of my new room which are up on my flickr account and have plans to take lots more of the house and surrounding area when it gets nicer out (soon please! fuck winter!). i'm three blocks from the town's park and there's a flight pattern that goes almost directly overhead so i'm gonna try to do some long exposure photo work with airplane light trails and some other stuff that should photograph well in the dark. more to come.
