Why I'm reccing this fic: Even though it's based on a movie I've never seen, I really enjoyed it. The characters are solid and it's got everything. Sweetness, sadness, hotness, magic.
There were some perks to this witchcraft gig, he supposed. But right now, with the memory of Benton Fraser’s smile fresh and raw in his mind, Ray was hard-pressed to think of them.
“Don’t you ever wish you could be normal?” he asked suddenly.
“Normal?” Frannie parroted. “God, no. Normal people are boring. Humdrum.”
Ray nodded at the passing waiter in a silent request for another drink. “I think maybe I wanna be humdrum for a while.”
Frannie’s lips curved knowingly. “I bet you’d like to be humdrum with that Mr. Fraser.”
Ray chewed on his lower lip. “Maybe,” he conceded.

Why I'm reccing this fic: Because Fraser is broken and I just want to hug him. And Ray knows just how to fix him so I want to hug him too. There's love all through it, but it doesn't get sickly sweet. One of the all time best Au's in my opinion.
I'd like to say I knew he was trouble the minute he walked into the place.
Unfortunately, I can't, because when he first walked in, I was busy trying to convince my bad leg not to give out while I wrestled a new soda cylinder into place, and cursing my afternoon bartender's wife for having the bad timing to have her baby that day. Add to the equation the waitress I'd gotten to replace Shelley when she went on maternity leave - a complete air-head who couldn't tell the difference between a rum and coke and a Bloody Mary - and you get one very cranky person. Me. Nice to meet you.

Why I'm reccing this fic: Because, if I'm going to hell, I'm taking this story with me. Fraser is a priest. If that's not enough to turn your crank the porny bits will. The whole thing is just to die for, though. So go and read it!
I start to tell him I have no idea what he’s talking about but his eyes are blazing in the dimness of the sanctuary and his hands are strong and… knowing; and I’ve never been kissed before, never even been touched before, not like this. He seems to know every part of me, to know how and where to touch me, even why; and shock can be the only explanation for my compliance - shock and disbelief. And when he sinks to his knees, unfastening my cassock, pushing my under-cassock up and aside and my boxers down, muttering fiercely about men in dresses, I must be frozen out of time or perhaps temporarily possessed: that can be the only explanation for my failure to protest, a “no” wrung from my throat at that last moment before his lips touch my penis, rising hard between us.
