ADMIN POST Part One: The Songfic Challenge
Whew, okay, this is dangerous, but I feel bold! I feel strong! We can do this!
In honor of Vividcon, where I am soon to be bound, I'm pulling this challenge from Terrie01, who suggested, " a story reflecting the theme of a favorite song without using the lyrics." Use the title of the song as your story title, but rather than use lyrics, or have the song play within the story on the radio, or--god forbid--have Ray think "Wow, he is the wind beneath my wings!"--think more like a vidder, okay? Make a vid with words: if you could tell the story that goes with your song, that works in counterpart to your song, if your song were to be the score for a story--you see what I mean? Let me be clear, this really should NOT be songfic of the traditional and terrible variety, but--well, I guess I'll risk that.
I am going to add a part two to this admin post under friendslock, for community members only.
Today is August 11th, stories will be due August 25th at midnight.
