Let's see how trite and cliche I can make this entry.
Been reading Maya Angelou's 'I know why the caged bird sings'. It's actually much better than I thought it would be. I'm growing to love the way she writes. She puts a lot of undetected sarcasm and cynicism into her words...two much needed elements to grasp my attention.
Had a dream featuring Edward Norton...along with a string of other peculiar things. I forgot to get out of bed again. Oh well. I can't sleep very well at night.
Watched Waking Life/The meaning of Life last night. Both excellent. Get off your fucking ass and rent them, ho. Whether you want to admit it or not, people are influenced by the media, by music, film, literature, etc. You might not realize how influential they are, until you catch yourself changing. And remember kids, change is good. Change is inevitable. It's necessary. If you think that in 10 years you're going to be living your life the exact same way you did when you were 15, you're in for a desperately needed slap in the face. I could be the one to give it you, if you'de like. And before someone jumps on my ass, i'm not telling you how to live your fucking life. If you want to continue walking down a path of ignorance, that's fine. If you're happy doing it, more power to you. I'm just saying, choosing to fall down that path will get you a lot of shit in the process. Save yourself the trouble, and grow up now. :) An on-line smile always makes it better. I could threaten to chop you up into little pieces, but as long as my death threat is followed by a happy, cheerful emoticon, it would be okay.
7th period has become my favorite portion of the school day. Dayle and I become the library elitist, dominating the evil forces of library aids, underclassmen, and poor internet connections. We talk about a variety of things; Life, love, music, the government. Communism IS the ideal economic structure. If you apply even a minimul amount of thought, you'll see where i'm coming from. Sadly, most people don't like to think, and communism would only work if this were a Utopian society. I'm pretty sure we fucked up any chance for a peaceful, yet efficient country from the start.
The cure does commercials now. Humph. Who woulda thunk. Might as well ramble on about music for a bit...Um. Coheed and cambria, taking back sunday, and glassjaw are 3 of the worst bands to come out in the past 10 years. Death cab for cutie and Modest Mouse are not new bands. There are a string of bands out today that sound exactly like thin lizzy...this is one of many points that help me prove my 'new 70s' theory. Don't bitch about people making seemingly pointless posts on Tinnitus...you like inane banter and drama just as much as I do. Dayle and I were nominated for honors band. I've developed a new love for Paul McCartney. The man writes songs about jets for fucks sake. How cool is that? I'm going to get all nostalgic on you here for a minute...I'm actually thankful to have had Jeff live with us when I was younger. Despite all the bullshit, Jeff has a superb taste in music. Meh. The new Mist cd is out.
If you didn't read this, I can only assume that you hate me now. I hate you, too! I'm never going to talk to you again! Okay, kids...now it's time to go to your comment box, click 'add sympathy here', then be on your merry little way.
If you took that last paragraph seriously, I really do hate you.
Audrey.
