I totally don't get it when Bobby tops John. Seriously. I like the jokester/innocent Bobby. You know the type of person he is in Comic!verse. I don' know much about evo! so I can't say anything about that. And no matter what anyone else thinks in my opinion, Bobby bottoms to ALL even females. *nods*

Thank you. I have never been able to get how people see Bobby as a top. Ever. Especially over John. Just...no. Bobby is John's bitch.

I can't speak for comics, but I've been reading the novels, and Bobby's all jokey and insecure about his powers (and life in general) and he is no way a top.

I mean I can see Bobby topping on special occasions. But John would still be in control. He'd have to agree and stuff. But generally speaking except for special circumstances Bobby is a bottom any way you slice it, movie verse or otherwise. Basically he's only on top if his partner LET'S him be on top.

I've only read the third novel! X.x; must get hands on first and second. Heard many good things about them but gah....

In the comics Bobby's all jokey and insecure too. He's one of the most powerful mutants in existance, he just afraid I think to experiment with what could be done with those powers. I hold the firm belief that Bobby could cover entire continents in glaciers. If he had any self-worth or esteem. Which he of course doesn't. >< Crap I'm going to start ranting on Bobby's emotional state and stuff.

Not ... the novelizations of the movies, but other novels. That have been written about the comics. I mean, I've read the movie books, too, but there're a ton of others (triologies are popular). I'm in the middle of Empire's End at the moment, which is all focused on the shi'ar (sp) and Charles/Lilandra, and it takes place in space. Oooo.

Ohhhh I see. I haven't read any of those either. ><; I'd like to read the novelizations but sadly I have no money to buy them and my public library system is...evil.

The Chaos Engine trilogy gave me a little love for Mags. Shows his 'human' side, as it were.

I'm not as fond of the space novels, but they aren't bad. I'd like to read more Illyana stuff, but all she gets in novels is a mention of dying from the Legacy virus =/ What about before that?

And a lot of the books are 10+ years old (I went on an ebay spree to get most of 'em) and i doubt they were ever mainstream enough for a library to pick up. Sadly.

He is afraid. ...I think. I was searching through the forum boards a few days ago [shh, I'm not that desperate for some of my pairings] and apparently, Bobby, at least comic!verse, is as strong as Jean. He's with the omega level mutants, and he's just too terrified to do anything about it, really.

Over at Speedsicle, they have a Bobby Cheat Sheet, basically, and it says that he had a power-inhibitor becuase his powers were a, too strong for him to control, or b, he didn't want to try. I can't really remember.

Ranting is a-ok in my mnind, by the way. XDD

And your topping opinion makes sense. -nods- and of course John would be control. -giggles-

YES! Speedsicle. My favorite comic pairing ever. ^-^ And yeah in one comic universe at least, Bobby's power got increased(or his control got lowered) and anything he touched froze to death instantly or something. So they made a power-dampner until he got his powers under control again. I think that arc had something to do with a god(Loki?) playing tricks on people. Like Northstar.

And yeah. John would be all like, 'Well JUST this once....' and be in complete control of the situtation. Bobby is his bitch.

*snickers* I haven't really gotten to read the comics either. However, in my defense I've researched and researched and poked people until they gave me info on the comics. ^-^ So yeah.

Another favorite comic pairing of mine is the little loved Cloud/Bobby.

In fact.....I really don't read any pairings that don't include Bobby. I kind of obsess over him. ><; Favorite X-men character ever. I am a sad sad individual.

He's my favorite char, but then, I suppose becuase it's either him or Pyro [though evo Pyro pwns all...] he pwns my fandom becuause...becuase everyone else loves Pyro more. XDD

Most of my Pairings include either Bobby or Pyro. There are some though they are rare, that aren't. -giggle-
